Translate Gender is a trans-led community organization founded in 2006 to serve trans, nonbinary, and gender expansive youth and their families, helping them build community, resilience, and joy. We provide clinical services to support mental health, peer groups for families, training and advocacy for k-12 schools, and arts programming to ensure trans, nonbinary, and gender expansive youth can flourish in Western Massachusetts. Translate Gender’s work is rooted in serving trans, nonbinary, and gender expansive youth and their families and we believe it is essential that our staff and board is reflective of the communities we serve. We primarily connect with youth and families in Hampden, Hampshire, Franklin, and Berkshire counties, but regularly have people join our events from all across Massachusetts. After 15 years operating as a volunteer effort, we incorporated as a 501c3 in 2021 to strengthen and expand our programs.
